TREE OF LIFE FOUNDATION HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS

The Tree Of Life Foundation Humanitarian Projects have a unified approach for the healing of the planet. These projects are specifically happening in Mexico, with immigrant farm workers in Arizona, Ghana, and Nigeria. In these nations we are creating a model of transformation. This model includes the healing of the planet. These projects are specifically happening in Mexico, with immigrant farm workers in Arizona, Ghana, and Nigeria. In these nations we are creating a model of transformation.

This model includes:

•Diabetic prevention and education with the training of what we call in Mexico primadoras (non-professional health workers) who are trained in diabetes protection, prevention, general health, and Dr. Cousens’ Phase One approach to a live food vegan diet. These training courses are both in English and Spanish and will soon be up on UISCA website for college credit.

•Bringing people from these areas to the Tree of Life Foundation in Patagonia, Arizona to train in both veganic gardening and live food nutrition. These people will go back as the leaders in their specific nations and communities.make a donation; receive in order to share

•Developing physical teaching and feeding centers for diabetes, and preventative health.

•Feeding the children and senior programs in each of these areas. The Tree of Life Foundation currently feeding about 1,000 people per week in total in Nigeria, Ghana, and Mexico.

•Encouraging the development of gardens and farms associated with the schools in each of regions for training and educational purposes.

•Associated with all these programs is a focus of returning to the natural ways, including micro-loan sponsored organic farming in each of these rural regions.

DIABETES: A GROWING WORLDWIDE EPIDEMIC

Recent statistics show drastic increases in rates of diet and lifestyle-related diseases including metabolic syndrome (often a precursor to diabetes), heart disease, obesity and Type Two diabetes in non-Western nations. This is due to an increasingly globalized food economy that has shifted many indigenous cultures away from their original local diets with the introduction of refined flour, sugar, bread, meat and dairy products, which contributes to the epidemic. The switch to processed, toxic diets has created massive health problems previously unseen in cultures with strong local agricultural and whole, organic, plant-rich diets.

Answering the call of need:

Dr. Cousens has developed a remarkable approach to restoring healthful diets and lifestyle practices in rural communities in Mexico, Ghana, Nigeria, and other parts of the world. Through The Tree of Life Foundation's mission, Dr. Cousens incorporates decades of research and experience as a leading holistic physician and spiritual guide in order to help empower communities across the world. The programs of The Tree of Life Foundation are focused on returning these people back to their original ways of eating through connecting back with the earth and the gifts it has to offer each of them in their particular region.

GHANA

In Ghana we have created a large physical diabetes prevention, health, and nutrition center that feeds 350 children per day as well as 50 seniors in our own building.  We also have training set up here to train the non-professional health workers to teach in the Baika Kingdom and its outlining areas, which are about 1.5 million people.  It is also associated on the same campus with a progressive education school teaching nutrition and farming as part of the curriculum.

A unique aspect to Ghana is they have no statistics on diabetes, so we are creating a starting point in three regions: rural, semi-rural, and urban for diabetes screening to establish some reliable statistics.  This includes the rural area of the Baika Kingdom, the semi-rural area of Ho, and the urban area of Accra; we are doing a survey of 1,000 people in each of these regions to assess the prevalence of diabetes.  Once we have this statistical information, we will provide a home-centered treatment program for those identified with diabetes with the help of the non-professional health workers.  The vision is for this diabetes and assessment program to reach the entire nation.  We are in the process of getting the donations needed to provide glucometers to the people of Ghana so this diabetes assessment can be made.

NIGERIA

In Nigeria we have a school that also acts as a nutrition center where we are feeding 350 children per day.  We have equipped the school with a well for clean water and a garden to teach the children how to garden. The people of the Biafra tribe, with whom Rabbi Gabriel Cousens, M.D. is working, are genetically one of the lost tribes of Israel and the people there are aware of their Hebrew origins.  Rabbi Gabriel Cousens, M.D. has held a Kabbalistic Shamanic Shabbat there, which included all the chiefs in the Biafra region; this resulted in a powerful energetic transmission of the lineage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

In conjunction with Portable Practical Educational Preparation, Inc. (PPEP), King Nana Otimpong Otibribi III of Ghana, Dr.Clement or C.A.C. Eronini acting Eze (King) of the Awo Mbeiri Kingdom in Nigeria, and the Tree Of Life Foundation, we have created the West Africa Rural Empowerment Society, which is has official NGO status.

The intention of all these programs from their seed positions is to become national programs.  We presently are exploring Ethiopia as an additional nation to set up in the same manner as a way to expand this vision.

In addition to these programs we are also doing work with the Native American population in the US in conjunction with Dennis Banks, head of the American Indian Movement (AIM), and were supportive of his Walk Across America for Diabetes. With Rabbi Gabriel Cousens, M.D. speaking at the end of the march in Washington, D.C. in 2011.  Eventually these efforts will move into a more preventative program for the Native American world.

MEXICO

In Mexico we have saved an orphanage, completely rebuilt it, and it now acts as a community center that teaches vegan organic live foods and supports and feeds the local children. As part of the continuum of the orphanages in Mexico, we have already sent four children to college in Mexico. We may extend this model to the other nations at the right time.

CENTRAL & SOUTH AMERICA

In Nicaragua we are in the very early stages of developing a potential Essene community. We are also starting Tree of Life teaching centers in Lima, Peru; San Palo, Brazil; and Buenos Aries, Argentina. These centers are serving as a way to spread the vision and teaching of world peace, the Six Foundations, and the Sevenfold Peace. They are also supporting the creation of a holistic vegan live food, humanitarian, holistic health, and Essene culture.

ISRAEL

In Israel, we have established the Tree of Light Foundation, a 501c3, and are teaching the Six Foundations, Sevenfold Peace, and a holistic vegan live food culture. Since we began in 2002, the live food and organic movement has greatly expanded. It is here that Rabbi Gabriel Cousens, M.D. has been teaching the Torah as a Guide to Enlightenment with very positive reception. We have created a Modern Essene Tour of Israel starting December 10, 2012, which will culminate in a ceremonial gathering on December 21st. The Tree of Light Israel also leads Native American inipis and sponsors the Native American Spirit Dance in Israel. The Tree of Light Israel serves as our international center for all of the Middle East and Europe.
